Breeder Nearly Puts Down Hairless Rabbit Because Nobody Wants Him, So Mom Takes Him Home Instead

Pets are taking over social media, especially Instagram. Who doesn’t love to look at adorable animal pictures? We all need a cuteness break a few times a day (or like every five minutes).

I follow lots of animals, and now I have a new favorite. Mr. Bigglesworth is a 2-month-old, pint-sized hairless rabbit that is taking Instagram by storm. Named after Dr. Evil’s bald cat in the Austin Powers films, this little rabbit has an ultra-rare genetic disorder that has left him hairless.

His breeder was going to put him down, but he received a second chance when Cassandra Hall, from Wodonga in Australia, saved his life by adopting him.

Mr. Bigglesworth hops, makes friends, and even wears teeny-tiny little sweaters. Are you sold yet? Did I mention he is so small he fits in a coffee cup?

Cassandra says she brought him home because no one else wanted him. But this bald bunny has bounced back and in a few short days has racked up more than 8,000 followers. Mr. Bigglesworth shares a home with a lop-eared rabbit named Loafy and a whippet named Danny. Danny and Loafy are also rescues and occasionally make appearances on Instagram as well.

Mr. Bigglesworth’s future is surely bouncy and bright! Hooray for happy endings and second chances!

If you love a comeback story as much as I do, please SHARE this pint-sized, furless beauty with your friends and family.
